The Daeungjeon Hall of Daedunsa Temple is presumed to have been built in the early period of the Joseon dynasty (1392-1910) and underwent several repairs between 17th and 18th centuries. The building has a tall stone foundation to accomodate the slope of the ground below. Ornate roof-support brackets are installed not only above the pillars but also between the pillar-top brackets. Four auxiliary pillars are placed under the hip rafters for additional support. The center doors feature elaborate flower lattices.
