국문

강당 뒷편의 제향 영역은 제사를 지내는 공간과 이를 준비하는 공간으로 체인묘(體仁廟), 전사청(典祀廳), 경각(經閣), 비각이 있다.

제향때만 개방하는 체인문을 들어서면 회재 이언적(晦齋 李彦迪 1491~1553)의 위패를 봉안한 체인묘가 있다. 전사청은 제사를 지내기 위한 제수(祭需, 제사에 드는 여러 가지 재료)를 보관하던 곳이다. 사당 오른쪽에 있는 경각은 어서각(御書閣)이라고도 하며 임금이 하사한 글과 내사본(內賜本)*, 퇴계수필(退溪手筆) 등 각종 전적을 보관하고 있었다. 사당 왼쪽의 비각은 선조 10년(1577)에 세워진 이언적의 신도비각(神道碑閣)이다. 원래 서원 앞의 계곡에 있던 것을 서원 안으로 옮겨왔다.
