'''Beomyeongnu Pavilion'''

 +
This pavilion is located on the front left corner of the courtyard of Daeungjeon Hall. Its name means “pavilion of the floating image.” The original wooden pavilion had fallen into disrepair and was newly constructed in 1969-1973. However, the stone pillars propping up the front of the pavilion date to the mid-8th century when Bulguksa Temple was founded. These pillars symbolize Mount Meru, which, according to the Buddhist view of the cosmos, has a height of 1,082,000 km and is situated in the middle of the world.
