국문
고인돌은 선사시대 거석기념물의 하나로서 지상이나 지하에 시신을 묻는 무덤방을 만들고 그 위에 큰 돌을 얹은 무덤이다. 금산 용화리 고인돌은 용화마을의 서쪽에 남북으로 뻗은 언덕에 위치하고 있다. 확인된 3기의 고인돌은 남북으로 형성된 구릉의 능선을 따라 3~8m 가량 거리를 두고 놓여 있으며, 모두 덮개돌만 남아 있다. 덮개돌의 형태는 타원형 또는 직사각형이며 크기도 150~280cm 안팎의 비교적 작은 편이다. 고인돌 주변에서 20여 점의 돌칼과 돌화살촉이 출토되었다.

Dolmens in Yonghwa-ri, Geumsan
A dolmen is a megalithic monument constructed during the Bronze Age (1500-300 BCE). Dolmens are found in parts of Europe, Africa, and Asia. The Korean Peninsula has the largest concentration of dolmens in the world.
A total of three dolmen capstones* are located about three and eight meters** apart from each other along a hill ridge (stretching along the north-south axis***) to the west of Yonghwa Village. These are relatively small capstones that measure 1.5 – 2.8 m in length and have round and rectangular shapes. Over 20 stone knives**** and stone arrowheads were unearthed in the surrounding area.

영문 해설 내용
고인돌은 청동기 시대의 대표적인 거석 구조물이다. 고인돌은 유럽, 아프리카, 아시아 등에 분포하고 있는데, 한반도는 세계에서 가장 집중적으로 분포된 지역이다.
용화마을의 서쪽 언덕에는 3기의 고인돌이 남북으로 형성된 구릉의 능선을 따라 3~8m 가량 거리를 두고 놓여 있다. 모두 타원형 또는 직사각형의 덮개돌만 남아 있으며, 덮개돌의 길이는 1.5-2.8m 정도로 비교적 작은 편이다. 고인돌 주변에서 20여 점의 돌칼과 돌화살촉이 출토되었다.
