해설문

국문

전사청은 문헌서원에서 제사를 지낼 때 제사 음식을 장만하고 각종 제물과 제기 등 제사에 필요한 도구와 준비물을 보관하는 곳이다. 규모가 큰 향교와 서원 등에 딸린 건물로 제기를 둔 창고라는 뜻에서 ‘제기고’라고도 한다.

When ancestral rituals were performed in the shrine of a Confucian academy, Ritual Preparation Halls are where foods for the rituals were prepared and tools and supplies needed for the ancestral rituals such as various offerings and ritual vessels were housed.
