국문
구기자는 가지과에 속하는 구기자나무 열매로 청양군에서 다량으로 재배하는 특용작물 중의 하나이다. 청양구기자는 청양의 하동정씨 종가에서 전수되고 있는 전통주로 양질의 쌀과 구기자를 주원료로 구기자 뿌리, 잎, 줄기 , 두충 등을 첨가하여 전래의 비법으로 빚어지는 술로써 150여 년 전부터 이어져 오고 있다.
구기자는 정력증강, 성인병 치료, 시력보호, 피부미용, 정신집중력 향상, 청결 작용 등 그 효능이 인정되어 한방의 필수 약제일 뿐만 아니라 현재는 드링크제 원료로 널리 사용되고 있으며, 특히 음주자들이 복용하는 경우 지방간이 형성되는 것을 방지하는 것으로 밝혀져 있다. 이처럼 효능이 우수한 구기자를 이용해서 담근 술은 구기자의 약효 성분을 함유한 술로써 색깔이 붉은 빛으로 그윽한 향이 나고 상큼한 맛이 일품이며 숙취가 전혀 없이 깨끗한 것이 특징이다.

Habitat of Miho Spine Loaches* in Jicheon Stream at Buyeo and Cheongyang
Miho Spine Loach (Cobitis choii) is a freshwater fish in the loach family Cobitidae. It is native to Korea, Amur basin, and Russia**. In Korea, its habitat is limited to only three areas: Gapcheon Stream in Daejeon, Jicheon Stream in the Buyeo-Cheongyang area, and Baekgokcheon Stream in Jincheon. Although Miho Spine Loach has been under protection since 2005 when it was designated as Natural Monument No. 454, its population continues decreasing and is currently facing the threat of extinction.
This fish lives in slow waters up to 1 m deep in the places where the layer of sand on the floor does not exceed 2 mm. Jicheon Stream which separates Buyeo-gun and Cheongyang-gun Provinces provides perfect conditions for Miho Spine Loach and was recognized as the habitat of its largest population in Korea.
