화성에서 벌어지는 국왕의 행차나 행사에 드는 모든 비용을 전담한 기관으로 평소에는 행궁 수리 업무도 맡았다. 장용영 외영에 소속된 군사들의 식량도 여기서 관장하였다. 1796년(정조 20) 유여택 동쪽 빈의문 밖에 터를 닦아서 지었으며, 대문에 외정리아문(外整理衙門)이란 현판을 걸었다. 온돌방과 마루로 된 대청채를 중심으로 주위는 행랑과 창고를 두었다.

국문 수정

외정리소는 화성에서 거행되는 국왕의 행차나 행사에 드는 모든 비용문제를 총괄하는 곳이다. 평소에는 화성행궁의 수리 업무뿐 아니라 장용영 외영에 소속된 군사들의 식량과 말 먹이까지 관장하였다. 정조 20년(1796) 유여택 동쪽의 빈의문 밖에 건물을 짓고, 대문에 외정리아문(外整理衙門)이란 현판을 걸었다. 마루로 된 대청 6칸을 중심으로 주위에 행랑과 창고를 두었다.

Oejeongniso (Outer Bureau of Arrangements)

Oejeongniso was originally established as a provisional bureau dedicated to the preparation of the royal banquet celebrating the 60th birthday of King Jeongjo's mother in 1795. Later, this institution became a permanent government office in charge of preparing events at the temporary palace and managing related expenses. The responsibility of Oejeongniso ranged from that of officials' clothing, military food, and horse food to repairs of the palace buildings.

The Branch Office of the Bureau of Arrangements (Oejeongniso) was originally established as a provisional bureau dedicated to the preparation of the royal banquet celebrating the 60th birthday of King Jeongjo’s mother in 1795. Later, this institution became a permanent government office in charge of preparing events at the temporary palace and managing related expenses. The responsibilities of the office included overseeing officials’ clothing, military food, horse food, and repair of the palace buildings.

영문 해설 내용

외정리소는 원래 1795년에 열린 정조의 어머니 회갑연을 전담하기 위한 임시기관으로 설치되었다. 이후 임금이 행차할 때 행궁에서의 행사 준비를 담당하고 관련비용 문제를 총괄하는 관청이 되었다. 관리들의 복장과 군사들의 음식, 말 먹이에 이르는 모든 경비를 이곳에서 관장했고, 행궁 건물의 수리도 이곳에서 관장했다.
