부안김씨 종중 고문서는 문중에서 소장하고 있는 고문서 6종 80점을 말한다. 이 고문서에는 연산군~중종 때의 문신 김석필(金錫弼)에게 왕이 내린 교지(敎旨), 재산 분배 기록인 분재기(分財記) 등 중요한 문서가 포함되어 있다. 또한 조선 중종반정에 참여한 공으로 정국원종공신에 오른 김석필, 그의 종손으로 정유재란 때 의병장으로 공을 세워 선무원종공신에 오른 김홍원(金弘遠)과 관련된 문서도 다수 있다. 이 고문서는 조선 시대의 인사행정, 경제, 사회, 가족제도와 공신도감의 기능 연구에 중요한 자료이다.
