해설문

국문

이성산성에는 동, 서, 남, 북에 1개씩 총 4개의 문이 있었을 것으로 추정한다. 지금까지의 발굴조사 결과 동쪽과 서쪽에서 문이 발견되었다. 동쪽에서 조사된 동문은 사다리를 걸쳐놓고 올라가야 하는 현문식(懸門式) 구조이다. 성벽과 같이 두 번에 걸쳐 만들어지고 사용되었다. 성벽 위 3.5m 높이에 만들었고, 처음에는 너비 6.2m, 그 다음에는 3.56m로 하였다. 문 양 쪽에서 문을 고정하는 돌 두 개가 발견된 것으로 보아 목재로 된 문을 걸어 사용했을 것이다. 바닥에는 물을 빼내는 시설을 설치하였다.

East Gate Site of Iseongsanseong Fortress, Hanam

At Iseongsanseong Fortress, it is presumed that there were four gates – one in each cardinal direction. Through archaeological excavations, the sites of the east and west gates have been discovered.

The east gate was built atop the fortress wall, which measured 3.5 m in height. A ladder was used to access the gate. The east gate was built in two phases, at the same time as the fortress wall. The first-phase gate measured 6.2 m in width, and the second-phase gate measured 3.56 m in width. To either side of the door, stones were found, which are presumed to have been the bases of the vertical hinges of a wooden door. On the floor, water drainage ditches were installed.

영문 해설 내용

이성산성에는 동, 서, 남, 북에 1개씩 총 4개의 문이 있었던 것으로 추정된다. 지금까지의 발굴조사 결과 동쪽과 서쪽에서 문터가 발견되었다.

동문은 3.5m 높이 성벽 위에 성문을 만들어, 사다리를 걸쳐놓고 올라가야 하는 구조였다. 성벽과 함께 2차에 걸쳐 만들어졌으며, 1차 문은 너비가 6.2m, 2차 문은 너비가 3.56m이다. 문 양쪽 옆벽에서 문을 고정하는 돌 두 개가 발견된 것으로 보아 목재로 된 문을 걸어 사용했던 것으로 생각된다. 바닥에는 배수시설을 설치하였다.
