Mudeungsan Mountain is home to the Mudeungsan UNESCO Global Geopark, which was designated in 2018. The geopark covers are area over 1,000 km2 and boasts 20 geological attractions that span seven geological periods, including include dinosaur footprints and trackways, waterfalls, rock outcrops, peaks, caves, block streams, and more.
