The geopark covers are area over 1,000 km2 and boasts 20 geological attractions that span seven geological periods, including include dinosaur footprints and trackways such as the site in Seoyu-ri, waterfalls such as Samujigi Falls, rock outcrops such as Sinseondae, Gwangseokdae, peaks such as Sainbong, ridges such as Baengmaneungseon, stony slopes such as Jigong and Deoksan slopes, wind holes, caves, and more. The mountain is also the venue of the 무등산억새꽃잔치Gwangju Silvergrass Flower Festival held along Jangbuljae Pass.
