  • Lois Swinehart (1869-1971) wrote Jane in the Orient (1924),Sarangie: A Child of Chosen (1926)[3], Korea Calls!: A Story of the Eastern Mission Field (1929), and a biography of Elizabeth Schepping (1937).
  • Maria Dodson (1998-1972) wrote Half a Lifetime in Korea (1952).
  • In particular, The Women of Korea and Sarangie: A Child of Chosen provide insight into the lives of girls and women at the time.
