Understanding Buddhist Art through Gwangju’s Masterpieces

Korea boasts an abundance of Buddhist art, including statues, pagodas, lanterns, bells, steles, and temple architecture. Gwangju is no exception. The episodes in this story will look at the Buddhist heritage located in Gwangju as a means to introduce and explain different kinds of Korean Buddhist art, touching on function, materials, and motifs.
