The Deulbul (Wildfire) Night School was a pro-democratization social activist youth group that met at Nokdu Bookstore. During the May 18 Democratic Uprising, the bookstore became a center of the struggle, where leaflets were printed and weapons were prepared, before it became too small and the base was moved to the YWCA on May 24. Several members of the night school were killed in the uprising, becoming known as the Seven Deulbul Martyrs.
