을시에 습할 때 백관이 인정전에 들어와 곡하다

을시(乙時)에 습(襲)할 적에, 백관이 인정전(仁政殿)에 들어와 곡(哭)하였다.	At around seven in the morning, the body was dressed.^{[역주 1]} All the officials entered the courtyard of Injeongjeon Hall^{[역주 2]} and wailed in mourning.

↑ This step, called seup 襲, is the first step in the process of preparing the body for burial. After washing the body, the deceased is dressed in special burial attire.
↑ Injeongjeon Hall is the main throne hall of Changdeokgung Palace.
