   • Program Remarks - The Pacific Asian Studies Minor is an interdisciplinary program designed for students seeking a more intensive and extensive knowledge and understanding of East and Southeast Asia than their major discipline would offer. The Pacific Asian Studies Minor will be useful to students interested in pursuing further study at the graduate level as well as those planning careers in education, foreign services, international organizations, overseas corporations, and banking.

1. Program (Korea-related degree offered) : MA Program - Cultural Anthropology Emphasis
   • Program Remarks - One of the foci of Cultural Anthropology at SFSU is the study of ethnic, class and race relations around the world. In the contemporary world, many societies are multi-ethnic and multi-cultural. To understand how such societies change we need to know how their various groups interact and influence one another. Our faculty have done research on ethnicity in China, Japan, Korea, Central America, the Caribbean, New Guinea, Native California, and the U.S. inner city.
