Introduction 소개

한국에 체류하는 주한대사, 외교관 및 오피니언 리더를 대상으로 한국문화를 깊이있게 이해할 수 있도록 하는 소키에타스 코리아나(Societas Koreana, 한국 모임의 라틴어 표현) 강연회를 개최하고 있습니다.

강연회는 한국학중앙연구원과 서울 시내 행사장에서 영어로 진행되며 학술적인 내용을 전하는 강연회뿐 아니라 한국문화의 정수를 직접 체험할 수 있는 문화 현장 답사 및 전통 예술 공연 프로그램도 함께 제공하고 있습니다.

The Societas Koreana, a non-profit outreach arm of the Academy of Korean Studies, was established in 2010 to promote and foster an in-depth understanding of Korea among the international communities found in Korea. A series of lectures, to be held under the auspices of Societas Koreana, provides foreign residents in leadership roles with informed perspectives on a breadth of critical issues. Our organization also seeks to provide opportunities to experience Korean culture through field trips to various sites of historical significance. Lectures are delivered by internationally recognized experts in their respective fields. The ongoing lectures also cover a spectrum of topics ranging from Korean arts and culture to Korean history. We believe that your participation and support will enhance the value of this program and make it grow. In addition, this meeting will be a good opportunity for you to gain a greater understanding of Korean culture and to meet other scholars and members of the international communities in Korea. Your participation would be deeply appreciated, and we look forward to seeing you at our upcoming meetings.
Events: Monthly lecture meetings, with occasional special music concerts and tours to historical sites
Venue: Downtown Seoul convention centers
Fee: The lecture series is free, but attendance is by invitation only. Meals are usually provided.
Certificates of Completion: Certificates of Completion are provided to attendees who meet the required attendance rate.
