Description
The Pacific Forum CSIS is a Honolulu-based foreign policy research institute that operates as an independent program of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, DC. CSIS is a non-profit, non-partisan, 501(c)(3) organization, that has developed practical solutions to the world's greatest challenges for over 50 years.
CSIS' mission is to enhance mutual understanding and trust, promote sustainable cooperative solutions to common challenges, mitigate conflicts, and contribute to peace and stability in the Asia Pacific, the Pacific Forum CSIS conducts policy-relevant research and promotes dialogue in the Asia-Pacific region through a network of bilateral and multilateral relationships on a comprehensive set of economic, security, and foreign policy issues. The Pacific Forum’s analysis and policy recommendations are aimed at creating positive change within and among the nations of the Asia Pacific and beyond.
The CSIS Korea Chair serves as an independent platform in Washington from which to advance major policy issues of common importance to the people of the Republic of Korea and the United States.
