1. Population
Population refers to the total number of individuals inhabiting a given area. As the most basic component of a society or country, it is very important as an indicator of all social phenomena. Further, population can reflect a given society’s or country’s natural, economic, or cultural conditions, and is also critically important because of its tremendous influence on the long-term development and even survival of that society or state.
