He was one of the founders of the democratic movement in Serbia in 1990 and the author of democratically oriented political texts. He participated in the establishment of the Institute for Geopolitical Studies 1997. He was president of the Serbian Democratic Party in Serbia from 1997 to 2003. In the first government that was formed after the changes in October 2000 he was appointed deputy minister for relations with Serbs outside Serbia. From 2004 to 2007 he was a deputy to in the National Assembly of the RepublicofSerbia.

He is co-founder of the journal for culture, economics and politics. He was editor in chief of this newspaper in 1996 and 1997 and the editor of the Serbian Literary Gazette, and was a regular columnist for the magazine for art, science and culture Zenit. As a participant of numerous national and international scientific and political conferences, he published study on the problems of modern democracy, as well as several works in which he exposes the underlying attitudes about the relationship between culture, politics, identity, community and the question of Serbian nationality: Serbian environment in geopolitical key, La Battaglia della cultura, Open identity and community of free people, etc.

He is currently director and editor in chief at the public company "Institute for Textbooks", Belgrade. He is member of the editorial board of the magazine Christian thought and president of the Program Committee of RTS. He published a book Arrow of time and Horizon of freedom (2009).
