(Translated by Kim Young)

The same day, ex-public servant Kim Wu, who is fifty-one years of age, scholar Kim Deukmyeong, who is ?? years of age, and scholar-in-training Kim Deukrok, who is thirty-two years of age, have reported:

"Based on the appendix attached to the temple slave Privy's invocation, you [the official at the magistrate] have told us to verify the truth of the fact that Mrs. Kim sold a slave. We verify that after the war, the destitute and desperate circumstances of Mrs. Kim's household has become so pressing, so she sold the eighteen-year-old male slave Jongnam born in Jeongyu year--the son of a female slave Geundeok who is the daughter of a female slave Seokgeum whom Mrs Kim's late husband's male slave Jeongryeon had bought [in his stead]--and his offspring forever in exchange for a five-year-old male horse that is worth twenty-five bulks of cotton or four-thousand paper bills. It is the case that we all witnessed this."

Since the document was signed by Madame Kim and witnessed by (possibly) her relatives, would this the case that Madame Kim managed her husband's family property as the widow of the deceased Yun Sahoe?
