경복궁 천추전

Definition

사정전의 서쪽에 있는 건물이다. 조선 전기에 이 건물이 있었는지 확실하지는 않다. 1867년 경복궁을 중건할 때 만들었다. 사정전의 기능을 보완하는 천추전과 만춘전에는 온돌이 설치되어 있는데, 사정전에 온돌이 없으므로 겨울에는 이 곳에서 정사를 보고 경연을 했을 것으로 짐작된다.
