취규문 현판

Definition

‘취규(聚奎)’는 ‘별들이 규성(奎星)으로 모여든다’는 의미이다. 규성은 이십팔수(二十八宿)의 하나로 문운(文運)을 주관한다는 별이다. 따라서 규성 주위로 다른 별들이 모여든다는 것은 인재가 모여듦을 의미한다. 창덕궁의 후원에는 취규정(聚奎亭)이 있다.
