상례복은 상중에 있는 상제가 입는 옷으로, 입관 이후 담제(詭祭)까지 입는다. 남성용 관(冠), 수질(首巢), 최의(衰衣), 최상(衰裳), 요질(腰巢), 장(杖), 신[履]으로 일습을 이룬다. 머리에 쓰는 것은 굴건(屈巾)과 수질이 한 틀이 된다. 최의는 상복의 웃옷으로 가슴에 최를 달았다. 최상은 앞이 세 폭, 뒤가 네 폭인 치마이다. 허리에는 삼을 꼬아 만든 요질을 하고 지팡이를 짚었다. 종아리에 삼베로 만든 행전을 차며, 다듬지 않은 짚신과 삼으로 된 신을 신었다.<ref>국립민속박물관, 『한민족역사문화도감 의생활』, 국립민속박물관, 2005, 213쪽.</ref>

Definition
