 ==Definition==
 [[중화전]] 뒤 동북쪽 방향에 있는 2층 목조 건물이다. [[임진왜란]]으로 피난 갔던 [[선조]]가 환도해 1593년부터 임시 어소[時御所]로 사용한 건물이다. 선조는 임진왜란으로 파괴된 [[경복궁]], [[창덕궁]] 등을 중건하지 못한 채 이 곳에서 16년을 지내다 1608(재위 41)년 승하했다. 훗날 임금들은 임진왜란을 상기하며 이곳에서 선조를 추모했다.
 (광해군 10)년에 [[광해군]]이 [[인목대비]]를 이 곳에 유폐했으며, [[인조 반정]] 이후에는 광해군 자신이 이 곳 앞마당에서 인목 대비에게 죄를 고하고 인조에게 옥쇠를 건냈다.
