【1897년】. 한영ᄌᆞ뎐(韓英字典) 1897. 영문 명칭은 A Korean-English Dictionary. 미국 북장로회 소속 선교사 제임스 게일(James Scarth Gale)이 이창직(李昌稙), 이원모(李源謨) 등 한국인 조사들과 프랑스 선교사들의 『한불ᄌᆞ뎐』(1880)과 언더우드의 『한영영한ᄌᆞ뎐』(1890) 및 스코트의 『영한ᄌᆞ뎐』(1891)을 참고하여 편찬한 사전. 초판 발행 후 개정을 거듭하여 1911년 2판, 1931년 3판 발행.
