Definition

광화문 정문 양 옆에 놓인 높은 대위에 앉아 전방을 바라보고 있는 해치 석상으로, 법과 정의를 수호하는 신수로 보거나, 관악산의 화기를 제압하는 풍수적 기능과 함께 재앙을 물리친다는 벽사의 상징으로 보기도 한다.
