Definition
1929년 9월 12일부터 10월 31일까지 50여일간 경복궁에서 개최된 박람회. 박람회 개최 취지는 개최 당시의 담화에서 드러나듯이 “시정 20년의 실적을 분명하기 위함”, 즉 1차적 목적은 조선총독부의 조선 통치 20년을 대내외로 선전하는데 있었다. 당시 조선총독 사이토 마코도는 박람회 개회사에서 “조선박람회는 전 20년간에 있어서 통치의 실적을 내외에 천명하고, 장래의 진보에 바탕이 되고자 한다”라고 밝히고 있다.[1]
