어좌

Definition

국왕이 앉아 백관의 하례를 받고 조례를 행하며 집무를 보는 지존한 자리로 옥좌 또는 보좌라고 한다. 정전인 근정전과 편전인 사정전에 있으며, 내전의 공식적인 행사에서 왕비나 대왕대비가 앉는 자리도 어좌라고 하였다.
