간의

Definition

간의(簡儀)는 조선시대 세종의 명으로 이천(李蕆)과 장영실(蔣英實) 등이 원나라의 곽수경(郭守敬)이 제작한 간의를 근간으로 구리로 만들어 경복궁 경회루(慶會樓) 근처 간의대(簡儀臺)에 설치했던 크고 정밀한 천문기기이다. 간의는 혼천의(渾天儀)를 간편하게 만들었다는 뜻이다.
