건길문 현판

Definition

‘건길(建吉)’은 ‘복을 세운다’는 뜻이다. ‘건(建)’은 ‘세우다’, ‘길(吉)’은 ‘복’을 의미한다. ‘吉(길)’자의 윗 부분이 표준 서체는 ‘士(사)’이지만 여기서는 ‘土(토)’의 형태를 취했는데, 서법에서 흔히 나타나는 속체이다.
