무령문 현판

Definition

‘‘무령(武寧)’은 ‘굳세고 평안하다’는 의미이다. ‘무(武)’는 ‘굳셈’을,‘녕(寧)’은 ‘평안함’을 뜻한다. 북쪽 방향에 난 문이므로, 북쪽에 있는 다른 문들과 마찬가지로 ‘무’라는 용어를 사용했다. 현재 현판은 걸려 있지 않다.
