금척

Definition

금척(金尺)은 궁중연향에서 몽금척이라는 당악정재(唐樂呈才)를 춤추고 노래할 때 여령(女伶)이 받드는 금자이다. 『진찬의궤』 정재도에 몽금척이 그려져 있고, 악기도에 금척과 몽금척족자(夢金尺簇子)가 각각 그려져 있다. 정도전이 조선 태조의 공덕을 찬양하기 위해 지은 악장인 몽금척은 조선 태조가 잠저에 있을 때 꿈에 신령이 금자[金尺]를 주면서 “이것을 가지고 국가를 정제하시오”라고 한 내용을 바탕으로 한 것이다.
