천추전 현판

Definition

‘천추(千秋)’란 ‘천 년의 가을’이란 뜻이다. ‘천(千)’은 오래고 영원하다는 의미를 가지며, 추(秋)는 오행 상 서쪽을 가리킨다. 여기에는 국가 기틀이 오랜 동안 지속되기를 바라는 마음이 담겨 있다. 사정전 동쪽에 있는 만춘전과 상대하여 이름을 지었다.
