석류문 현판

Definition

‘석류(錫類)’는 ‘선을 내려준다’는 의미이다. '석(錫)'은 '준다', '유(類)'는 '선(善)'을 뜻한다.『시경(詩經)』「대아(大雅)·기취(旣醉)」편을 보면“효자가 끊이지 않으니, 길이 너희에게 선을 내려 주리로다.”라는 용례가 있다.
