Definition

납교의(鑞交倚)는 팔걸이가 있고 의자다리가 교차된 형태의 의자로, 납으로 만들었다. 교의는 신분이 높은 사람들이 사용하는 이동식 의자로 교의 앞에는 발을 올려 둘 수 있도록 답장(踏掌)을 둔다. 각답(脚踏)과 함께 사용하기도 한다. 교의를 만드는 재료와 색깔, 문양에 따라 은으로 만든 은교의, 붉은 칠을 한 주칠교의, 용문양을 새긴 용교의(龍交椅) 등이 있다.
