Definition

일제강점기 조선 총독이 집무를 보고 살기 위한 용도로 사용하던 공간. 1937년 신무문 밖 경복궁 후원에 지어졌다. 일제강점기 이후 미군정 시기 주한미군 사령관의 관저로 이용되다가 이승만 대통령 때 대통령 관저로 쓰이면서 경무대로, 1960년 4.19혁명으로 청와대로 각각 명칭이 변경되었다. 1993년 8월 김영삼정부의 정책으로 철거되었다.[1]
