동양척식주식회사

Definition

1908년에 일본이 한국의 경제를 독점ㆍ착취하기 위하여 설립한 국책 회사. 주로 토지를 강점, 강매하여 높은 비율의 소작료를 징수하고 많은 양곡을 일본으로 반출하다가, 1917년부터 본점을 일본 도쿄로 옮기고 동양 각지로 사업을 확대하였으나, 일본이 제이 차 세계 대전에 패전하면서 문을 닫았다.
