수정전 현판

Definition

‘수정(修政)’은 ‘정사를 잘 수행함’을 의미한다. 『관자(管子)』「대광(大匡)」 편에 “공께서 안으로 정사를 잘 수행[修政]하여 백성들을 권면하면 제후들에게 신임을 얻을 수 있을 것입니다.(公內修政而勸民, 可以信於諸侯矣.) ” )” 라고 한 용례가 보인다. 현판의 글씨는 재건 당시 조석원(曺錫元, 1817~?년)이 썼다. 조석원은 도승지에까지 이른 조선 후기의 문신으로 글씨에 조예가 깊었다.
