정의
한의사이자 표준영정을 그린 화가이다.
내용
한의사가 된 후 동양화를 배워 허준 표준영정, 의천 표준영정, 류성룡 표준영정, 이규보 표준영정, 영조 표준영정을 그렸다. 한국전쟁 때 불에 타 절반가량 소실된 철종 어진을 완전한 모습으로 복원한 철종 표준영정 제작에도 참여하였다.[1] 또 기존의 '한의학(漢醫學)'의 명칭을 '한의학(韓醫學)'으로 변경할 것을 적극적으로 주장하였다. 이로 인해 1986년 '한의학(韓醫學)'으로 명칭이 변경되었다.[2]
