Evaluation Process

  1. Each team teacher recommends 4-5 students from their team based on their overall effort and teamwork; approx. 50% advance (40 students)
  2. Lyndsey rates essays on prompt, structure, and attention to detail (5 points each); the top 16 advance
  3. Other 9 teachers (not team teacher or Lyndsey) rate the 16 essays from 1-7 based on general impact/impression; the top 2 get 1st place, next 4 get 2nd place, and final 10 get 3rd place.
