뮤지컬 장면
사랑에 빠진 에릭 왕자와 함께 생활하기 위해 고민하는 에리엘에게 궁중작곡가이자 왕의 고문관인 게 세바스찬은 바다속의 아름다움을 노래하면서 육지가 아닌 해상에 머무를 것을 호소하는 노래이다. 무서운 인간 생활과 수중에 자유로운 삶의 혜택을 설명하면서 인간이 되고 싶어하는 에리얼을 설득하며 "under the sea"를 노래하는데 이때 그녀의 고민을 들은 마녀 우슬라는 그녀의 목소리를 빼앗을 계획을 세운다. 경쾌한 리듬과 멜로디에 맞춰 바닷속 물고기들과 퍼레이드를 벌이는 이 장면은 뮤지컬 인어공주에서 화려하면서도 가장 흥겨운 무대로 손꼽힌다.
